Akila L. K. MFA, M.Phil. (Art Therapy), and PhD (Art Therapy) in the department of Visual Arts, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, is an art expressionist, art facilitator, and artist. She lives in Bangalore, India, has been teaching and learning the benefits of art making, and is eager to see art therapy flourish in India. She is a founder of Palletenart, Blue Elephant Art Foundation, and Indian International Institute for Art Therapy, and has a fortunate connection with children and adolescents to appreciate their mindset. She is very keen to conduct art, art therapy, and neuroscience interdisciplinary studies and dissemination in the fields of multiple modalities, emphasizing the socio-emotional dimensions of children's and adolescent well-being through methodical investigation and organized networking.
